Academic & Conduct Policy

1. Introduction
MNM Maple College is dedicated to fostering a conducive learning environment while maintaining professionalism, safety, respect, and fairness for all students and staff members. This policy sets forth the standards of academic performance and conduct expected from all members of the MNM Maple College community.

2. Student Attendance and Academic Policy
a) Punctual and regular attendance is essential for optimal learning at MNM Maple College. Classes are interactive and participative.
b) In case of extenuating circumstances, students must promptly notify instructors or office staff.
c) Students are responsible for reviewing course material prior to class and catching up on missed content.

3. Academic Integrity
a) Assignments are to be completed individually.
b) Plagiarism and academic dishonesty are strictly prohibited and will result in automatic assignment/exam failure.

4. Attendance Records
a) Daily attendance is recorded by instructors.
b) Absences lasting more than two consecutive days must be justified with proper documentation.
c) A valid reason for an absence must be provided. Failure to do so may result in expulsion.

5. Student Expulsion Policy
MNM Maple College maintains a zero tolerance policy for the following:

• Academic Dishonesty
• Outstanding Fees
• Harassment or Discrimination
• Significant Omissions in Admissions Documentation
• Academic Failure
• Misuse of College Property

6. Student Withdrawal Policy
a) According to the Alberta Institution Designation Agreement (AIDA), students with unexcused absences for five consecutive days are considered withdrawn.
b) Students absent for over 30 consecutive days (with a reasonable excuse) will also be considered withdrawn.
c) Excessive absences that hinder successful program completion may result in withdrawal.

7. Student Privacy Policy
a) MNM Maple College protects personal information in accordance with federal laws.
b) Access to personal information is restricted to authorized personnel, legal agents, or entities as permitted by law.
c) Personal information is not disclosed without prior written consent from the student.

8. Photographic/Media Consent Policy
a) Students consent to the use of their images for MNM Maple College’s promotional materials.
b) Students can choose to withhold consent by providing written notification.

9. International Students
a) It is the student’s responsibility to obtain necessary immigration documents.
b) MNM Maple College does not provide immigration consulting services.

10. Communication Consent
a) By enrolling at MNM Maple College, students agree to receive communications via email, text, fax, social media, and phone for educational and administrative purposes.
b) Communications may include updates, event invitations, and alumni notifications.
